You're invited to enjoy a selection of my favourite wedding images, to give you a flavour for my style and the types of images I aim to create for you. I love wedding photography to be simple, beautiful, elegant, using natural light wherever possible and capturing you on your wedding day in a relaxed setting. Your wedding photography experience should be enjoyable and fun, and this should shine through in the finished product.
I also love photographing the details of a wedding - rings, flowers, shoes, table settings etc - all those little things you've spent months planning and agonising over. Having organised my own wedding and subsequent vow renewal, I know how much time and energy is spent on the little things, so I want to make sure you have that record too.
As well as being a wedding photographer, I also enjoy taking couple portraits. I'm a great believer in getting to know my clients before their wedding day, and this is a good place to start. Very often, clients will admit to not liking having their photographs taken. This is the perfect opportunity to practice and more importantly to have lots of fun and plenty of laughter, for us to get to know each other, and for me to help you to feel relaxed in front of a camera. By the time you get to your wedding day, you'll know what to expect and that will help me create those all important memories for you.
And you don't have to be getting married to enjoy the experience of a couple portrait shoot. Why not treat yourselves for no other reason than being head over heels in love.
History is my other passion in life, so I love nothing more than a trip to a living history event, be it medieval, Victorian or the 1940s homefront, to name but a few.
I’ve had the pleasure of working with a number of living history groups, including The Cavalry of Heroes, who entertain with their spectacular jousting shows, beautiful horses & carriages for weddings & special occasions, and horses for film work & television productions. Their shows are fast-paced and exhilarating … almost anything can happen. There’s also Past-Times Living History, who entertain visitors at historical venues across the UK with their portrayal of Henry VIII and his six wives, and other characters besides.
Whether you're holding a corporate event, a family celebration or a branding/publicity shoot, I can capture those moments for you. In recent years, these events have included working with Stacey Sargison at both of her “JFDI Live” events held at The Ritz, the first with guest speaker Patsy Palmer and the second with New York Times No. 1 Best Selling Author Pam Grout; a black-tie 80th birthday celebration; a Sunday morning publicity shoot for the Twyford & Ruscombe Horticultural Association garden shop, and significant wedding anniversaries.
